Amazons and AzNWoods

Amazons and AzNWoods were both P-50 sized worlds, 1000 x 1000 meters, or 1 square km.

I've done several revisions of the Amazons world terrain. When I first saw Amazons they had a terrain made of objects: Flat land, hills, and a rough wall that was the boundary of their world. The geographic theme of Amazons was that of a peaceful valley, nestled in the bottom of an extinct volcanic caldera, and set in a warm sea. I think of this as Amazons v1.

I felt the rough wall looked nothing at all like the walls of an old caldera, so I volunteered to replace the walls with a set of rectangular terrain tiles, leaving the rest of the builds undisturbed. This became Amazons v2 and I supplied the ground object for the world as well. It looked pretty cool and did not break too many builds, most of the Amazonian sisters seemed pretty pleased with the outcome. Amazons v2 was a successful project.

Later, one of the young ladies helping the world owner felt the community would best be served by deleting all the builds and starting over. I was invited to create Amazons v3 , terrain tiles which covered the whole of the land. This project was to encompass all four sister worlds in the Amazons group, and some of the things I wanted to try quickly esclated the scope of the project to an insane amount of work. I delivered a terrain for Amazons and settled down to refine and update certain zones around Amazons.

Shortly after this, the built-in terrain capability was released, and a couple of the world owner's core staff members decided to try their hand at terrain. This became Amazons v4. It partly abandoned the caldera geographic theme in favor of more beaches, waterways, and some rather dramatic mountains in the northwest.

Some time after this, Amazons world was in turmoil. The world owner was ill, some pirated objects had been discovered in their OP, and one of the regular staff members was being stalked online. As a result, the old OP was abandoned and a new one adopted, all the builds deleted and new started, and I got the assignment of creating terrain for Amazons v5 . For this effort I used the built-in terrain and my usual workflow, to create a massive 100 square kilometers of sculpted seabed, outlying islands and reefs, surrounding Amazons. The sister world AzNWoods was included in this terrain, lying a bit more than 1 km from the edge of Amazons. The project was a success, but unfortunately both Amazons and AzNWoods are now gone.

AzNPeaks and AzNGuard were both P-25 sized worlds, 500 x 500 meters.
